ToonDoo is a cool, comic-creating tool that allows you to create your own cool comic strips with just a few drag ‘n drops ‘n mouse clicks!
2. What does ToonDoo, a fun site, have to do with an online suite of office productivity tools, Zoho?
Well, actually nothing except that they are both fruits of the same tree i.e. AdventNet Inc., a highly successful and profitable software powerhouse that has several successful brand names to its credit.
3. Why do I see the name Jambav, at ToonDoo?
That’s because this cool tool was conceptualized and created by the fun-loving folks at Jambav.
4. What is Jambav?
Jambav is a fun site for kids that is devoted to creating a unique array of free and customizable online games of educational value for children of all abilities.
5. Does that mean Toondoo is appropriate for children?
At Toondoo, we always tried to create a place that's fun as well as safe for kids.
However,
in view of the fact that our users come from different countries and
socio-cultural backgrounds, it is virtually impractical to monitor all
the content that comes on the site and sift out the "safe" content
while screening out the "inappropriate".
Hence, we follow a
slightly different approach in empowering our users to 'flag as
inappropriate' any toon which they feel is offensive or not suitable
for younger viewers. Content once flagged inappropriate is subjected to
review by the Editors post which it is removed from view for all those
users who have switched SAFE SEARCH ON (to check if this is ON or OFF
for your child, you can login with his / her id and check the safe
search setting fom the top right corner. This can be changed by going
to 'My Profile' under ETC)
While we cannot guarantee that you
will never find inappropriate content at toondoo, we can assure you
that all such content would be blocked from view after it has been
reviewed by the Editors. The SAFE SEARCH option should be turned ON to
ensure this.
Toondoo has been extensively used as an educational tool with children and is the preferred tool for educators from all over the world!
Contests are a fun way to get your gray cells going. They will be a regular feature at ToonDoo.
7. Can I take part in the contests of previous months?
Oops sorry! The previous contests are closed. However, you can still participate in the current contest!
8. How secure is ToonDoo?
ToonDoo is as secure as any other social networking site that’s visited by tens of thousands of users.
9. How can I create a ToonDoo?
It’s simple! Just follow the steps below:
o Register and log in. (It’s free!) o Click on the 'Create your own!' button o Select your panel layout o Drag ‘n drop in characters, backgrounds, props, speech bubbles in whatever order suits you best o Not able to find a character you like? Create your own using the TraitR o You can also upload images from your computer or anywhere else on the web using the ImagineR toolfeature o Add final touches to your toon by drawing on with the DoodleR tool o Save as a public toon (can be viewed by all) or private (can only be viewed by you under 'My Toondoos')
That’s it! Your ToonDoo is done! You now have a comic strip to your name!
Compleetoons are a series of Incomplete toons which you can help us complete. Just add the text, which you think fits best, to the empty bubbles. Or, you can simply look at the other entries and cheer the ones you like!
11. Can I participate in the previous Compleetoons?
Absolutely! Although we have a new Compleetoon series every week, the previous Compleetoon series can be viewed by clicking on 'View Archives' link that appears on the top right of the current Compleetoon. And if you can think of something to add to any of the previous Compleetoon series, go ahead and 'Add Your Own'
